"HOLODOMOR; Ukraine's Genocide of 1932-33", the short film (RT 7:42) version of the featurelength documentary, produced by Tomkiw Entertainment and Moksha Films, will air live, Wednesday March 12, 2008 at 2:00 PM (pacific standard time), on a local Los Angeles cable television network. “The show GLOBAL CONSORTIUM", say’s the show’s founder and host Professor John Haas, "is transforming education the same way the Internet transformed brick and mortar business to e-commerce.”

Global Consortium (GC) is a network of partners that share a common goal of bridging cultural gaps in our world. The GC raises awareness of global issues to college students throughout the world, many of whom would not be able to have this opportunity if it were not for this program. The GC has the unique advantage of being broadcast to over 2.5 million college students throughout California, webcast on the internet, broadcast on local cable television (3CMedia Solutions) and interactively shown live to our partner schools, educators, students and institutions across the globe.

GLOBAL CONSORTIUM has attracted world-renowned speakers such as Dr. Judea Pearl (father of slain journalist Daniel Pearl), Professor Paul Arthur, Ambassador Akbar Ahmed and Paul Divakar. Additionally, some of their partners include Al-Quds University in Jerusalem (the only Arab college in Jerusalem), International Pacific College in New Zealand, the University of Ulster in N. Ireland, the Israeli Consulate, the Simon Wiesenthal Center, Stand With US, the U.S. Campaign for Burma and their newest collaborations with the United Nations.

On Wednesday March 12 at 2:00 PM (PST) GLOBAL CONSORTIUM turns its attention to one of history’s greatest tragedy, the Holodomor of 1932-1933. The GC episode, “The Forgotten Genocide?” will feature an interview with Los Angeles Holodomor survivor, Anna Motruk (who was 8 yrs old at the time) and a screening of the short film “HOLODOMOR: Ukraine’s Genocide of 1932-33.” The film’s director Bobby Leigh, Producer Marta Tomkiw and also the film’s Researcher, Scholar and Historian, Professor Taras Hunczak will be in attendance for the Q & A and discussion after the screening of the film.

The show’s Host, Dr. John Haas developed upon the concept of trans-disciplinary learning communities while teaching world civilization and U.S. history at Cerritos College. After the events of September 11, Dr. Haas expanded this concept to encapsulate the world by creating global learning communities through the Global Consortium.

Dr. Haas has been invited to share his vision of global education with educators around the world and throughout the United States and was recently chosen as 1 of 425 global educators world-wide to present his work with the GC.

Dr. Haas was recently recognized by the United States Congress for his work on global peace. This prestigious accolade is a testament to his dedication to education and the Global Consortium’s revolutionary program. Additionally, He spoke to the UN on the 15th Anniversary of the “Revocation of Zionsim as Racism Resolution.”

"HOLODOMOR; Ukraine's Genocide of 1932-33" is an edgy, auspicious, 7 ½ minute short cinematic look at a very dark and horrific time in which millions of people died due to a man-made famine in Ukraine, perpetrated by Joseph Stalin.
